The elaborate wedding, reportedly worth N100 million, witnessed the presence of celebrities and socialites.

Nigerian actress, Foluke Daramola's husband, Kayode Salako, has said he knew Farida Sobowale’s marriage to Demola Odulaja would not last.

Sobowale and Odulaja tied the knot in June.

The elaborate wedding, reportedly worth N100 million, witnessed the presence of celebrities and socialites.

But on August 18, Sobowale was rescued from jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. There were also rumours of cracks in the socialite’s marriage.

Odulaja, who confirmed the rumours, said his two-month-old marriage to Sobowale failed due to alleged infidelity.

In a recent Facebook post, Salako said when he came across a picture of Odulaja on a gift bag from their wedding, he could perceive an “insincere” expression on the groom’s face.

He added that his intuition regarding Odulaja was validated by the recent events that have unfolded.

“Few weeks ago, when Foluke brought this gift bag home from Farida’s superlative and so-called 100 million naira wedding, I looked at the facial countenance of the bridegroom in the picture on the bag and I smiled,” he wrote.

“She asked me why and I said, from the facial countenance of the man I see on this bag, he does not appear to me that he is the true and sincere bridegroom in that wedding.

“He is not the true bridegroom I see in that picture,’ I concluded.

“The recent unfolding of events has proved me right anyway that he is not.”

Salako is a former member of the Labour Party (LP).

He got married to Daramola in 2013. Their union is blessed with two children.
