The warehouse located along Isaac Boro Expressway in Yenagoa, the state capital, was raided on Sunday.
According to SaharaReporters, the people were angered due to the hardship in the country occasioned by the removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol.
It is, however, unclear if the warehouse looted housed food items distributed to states as promised by President Bola Tinubuās administration to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
Reports speculate that the palliatives looted were meant to be distributed to people affected by flood in the state.
The state government has yet to comment on the incident as of reporting time.
