According to counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the women were released on Wednesday, August 23, after paying N50,000 each as ransom to the terrorists.
48 women who were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents have been freed from captivity after payment of ransom.
The women were kidnapped in their farmlands in Maiwa and Shuwarin villages in Mafa Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday August 22, 2023 and taken to an unknown destination.
The terrorists later demanded ransom from the families of the women.
According to counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the women were released on Wednesday, August 23, after paying N50,000 each as ransom to the terrorists.
Eight among the victims were earlier released after paying N20,000 each.
