Former Kaduna lawmaker, Sen Shehu Sani has urged the Federal Government to compel Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to list the names of people responsible for looting the country’s funds under the administration of the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that Emefiele is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

He was suspended on June 10, 2023, by the incumbent President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The embattled CBN governor was arraigned on two counts of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Aside from these, Emefiele has been criticized for some of his actions which have brought untold hardship on Nigerian citizens in the former tenure of former President Buhari.

Reacting to the ongoing investigations on the suspended governor of the apex bank, Senator Sani, in a post via his Twitter page, said the only solution is for Emefiele to list the names of all those involved in money sharing under the previous administration.

He insisted that the individuals should also be made to cough out the shared money.

According to Sani, ‘all the grammar’ will stop when that is achieved.

He tweeted: “The Solution to the problem is simply for the ex-CBN Governor to list the names of all those who were shared money under the Buhari administration and be made to cough out every cent back to the Government; then, we can make progress. All this “long grammar” is a waste of time.”
