Dauda Olamilekan, a 30-year-old butcher in Ogbomoso in Oyo State, has cried out for help.

He called on philanthropists and governments at all levels to support him in order to take care of quadruplets delivered by his wife, Rukayat Olamilekan.

Olamilekan made this declaration in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST on Saturday.

It was gathered that the butcher’s wife, Rukayat Olamilekan was delivered of quadruplets on Thursday.

The quadruplets consist two boys and two girls.

They were delivered at Baaki Primary Healthcare Centre Ogbomoso.

The babies are presently kept in the incubator at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso as at the time of filing this report.

DAILY POST learnt that the family had earlier been blessed with two children before the quadruplets were delivered

The husband, Olamilekan of Alfa compound in Ijeru, in Ogbomoso has, however, called on philanthropists and governments at all levels to support him in order to take care of his family.

Olamilekan, while speaking with DAILY POST on Saturday, appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to come to his aid.

He urged the government to assist the family so the babies could be taken care of adequately.

“My wife delivered quadruplets on Thursday. I live in one room in Ogbomoso. I am a butcher. I am 30 years old, and my wife is 27 years old. She is a trader.

“We don’t have money. I wanted her to abort the babies before, because we don’t have money. We did a scan at Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre and they told us there were four babies. I said we don’t have money and she should abort it, but the centre told us not to abort it. They were the ones who helped us until she gave birth.

“We don’t have money. I want governments at all levels to support us, because it is beyond us. I don’t have anyone to support us. I want governments to support us.

“The babies are currently in the incubator at LAUTECH teaching hospital, Ogbomoso.”
