It was gathered that the governors under the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) were led by their chairman, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Eleven governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  paid a visit to the former National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, on Thursday at his Abuja residence.

It was gathered that the governors under the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) were led by their chairman, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Sources at the governor’s residence told Daily Trust that the governors applauded the leadership of Adamu for leading the party to victory in the 2023 general election.

The source said they also appreciated his courage for resigning in the party’s interest while appealing to him to continue participating in the party’s activities despite the recent incident.

“They thanked him for leading the party to success at the presidential and governorship elections in many states. They told him that they are the products of his success during the general elections,” the source said.

Confirming the above, Adamu himself told the platform that they came to visit him and to appreciate his leadership.

The Governors at Adamu’s residence included those of Katsina, Ebonyi, Sokoto, Niger, Gombe, Benue, Jigawa, Imo, Ogun, Kebbi, and the acting governor of Ondo State.

Recall that Adamu had resigned from his position on Sunday night due to an internal crisis and corruption allegations leveled against him.
