Ogun Government Confirms Hack of Website

The website was attacked by a group known as Aleister Crowley.

 
The Ogun State Government has said no data was lost after its website was hacked.
 
The government made the announcement after confirming the hack.
 
Hackers had attacked the state government website: www.ogunstate.gov.ng.
 
The website was attacked by a group known as Aleister Crowley. The hackers who took over the site wrote: ‘ANONGHOST. Hacked by Aleister Crowley’.
 
Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, confirmed the hack on Wednesday, July 12, adding that they are “working to restore the website”. He disclosed that “all critical data and applications are secured”.
 
Talabi also said that “the State ICT team is working round the clock to access and restore all the critical services,” adding that improving on the cyber security architecture is sacrosanct.
