He alleged that the government sometimes sponsors terror or allows criminals free rein, wondering why some people taunt him instead of calling out the government.
Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts has told those mocking him and former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, on social media over killings in the Southeast to stop it.
In a Twitter post, Amadi described the act as pathetic.
According to him, it is patently stupid to taunt someone when your house is collapsing.
He alleged that the government sometimes sponsors terror or allows criminals free rein, wondering why some people taunt him instead of calling out the government.
In a post via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Amadi claimed that killings also occur in other parts of the country, describing it as a recipe for state failure for people to mock another citizen instead of mourning and tasking the government.
He wrote, “When there is a bloody day in the Southeast, folks tag me or @obyezeks. This is pathetic. So, grownups let government off its colossal failure. Government sometimes sponsors terror or allow criminals free rein and you taunt me instead of calling out government? is it right? Pity.
“It is patently stupid to taunt someone when your house is collapsing. Everyday there is bloodbath in southwest, south south, northwest northeast, north central and southeast. & instead of mourning & tasking govt, you are mocking another citizen. That’s a recipe for state failure.”
