Kwara’s First Female Police Commissioner Assumes Duty (Photo)

She was appointed to the Nigeria Police Force on March 3, 1990, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.

 
Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, has assumed duty as the first female Commissioner of Police, in Kwara State.
 
She took over the headship of the command from the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Paul Odama, who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG.
 
CP Ebunoluwarotimi hails from Sagamu, in the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, according to a statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin on Wednesday.
 
She was appointed to the Nigeria Police Force on March 3, 1990, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
 
The statement described the new police commissioner as a no-nonsense police officer who has worked in several police commands and formations within and outside the country, where she held several command positions at various times.
