Update: Abducted Ondo Chief Imam Regains Freedom

It was gathered that the cleric was released by his abductors on Sunday evening, June 18, 2023.

Alhaji Ibrahim Oyinlade, the Chief Imam of the Uso Community in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, who was kidnapped on Saturday, has been freed.

It was gathered that the cleric was released by his abductors on Sunday evening, June 18, 2023.

The Imam was kidnapped on his farm located at Asolo camp, along the Owo-Akure highway.

A family source said the abductors subsequently demanded N10m ransom to release the cleric.

"Though the abductors contacted the family in the morning today (Sunday) and demanded N10m, but to God be the glory, he was set free this evening,” the source said.
