Wase is one of the aggrieved speakership aspirants who are aggrieved with the leadership zoning plan of the All Progressives Congress for the next Assembly, which favours Tajudeen Abbas.
Abbas defeated him and Jaji with a wide margin, with almost all the lawmakers in favour of Abass.
