Like other celebrities who have lent their voice on the matter, Joeboy asserts the citizen not the government are their own problems.

He explained the government only just announced their plan to scrap fuel subsidy and Nigerians swung into action, using the window to oppress other by hoarding the petroleum product.

The 26-year-old singer suggested many were opportunists, imagining what formidable force we could be as a people if we possessed the sense of community.

“Blame the government all you want but a lot of us as humans are just evil and looking for the slightest chance to take advantage of and oppress the next man dem say dem go remove fuel subsidy (dem never comot am o) niggas started hoarding fuel”, wrote the Banku Music / emPawa Africa artiste.

“Imagine we all had a sense of community as a people government set no go fit oppress, and they know this that’s why they plant seeds of division with religion poverty and tribalism, open your eyes.

“The main idea of government in general is “control” and “influence” and it’s hard to control or influence people who are United educated and financially independent.”
