Illicit Drugs Are Fuelling Insecurity - ONSA

It stressed the need to strengthen the relationship with National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to curb the trend.


The Office of the National Security Adviser has said that the worsening insecurity in the country is being fuelled by the use of illicit drugs by youths.

National Coordinator, National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Office of the National Security Adviser, Rear Admiral Yaminu Musa (rtd), disclosed this in Abuja while hosting management of NAFDAC.

Musa in a statement released by Ozoya Imohimi, the Director of Strategic Communications, NCTC, stressed the need to strengthen the relationship with National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to curb the trend.

He said the collaboration would be extended to other MDAs to tame the menace headlong.
