Following the fuel scarcity and increase in the prices of petroleum products across the country, a man has taken to social media to lament over the quantity of fuel he reportedly purchased for N5000.
Fuel scarcity surfaced across Nigeria on Monday, May 29 after President Tinubu announced that the regime of fuel subsidy is over.
President Tinubu stated that the 2023 budget does not have provisions for fuel subsidy after June.
His statement caused many Nigerians to troop to the fuel stations to purchase fuel. They were however shocked to see some fuel stations closed for business with claims that they have no fuel in their storage.
The Nigerian man who was able to purchase fuel, shared a video showing the quantity he got for the sum of N5000.
