Delta Police Seek Help Locating Family Of Pedestrian Who Died After Being Hit By Vehicle In Asaba

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, in a statement, said that a Mercedes Benz knocked down the man while he was crossing the Benin-Asaba expressway.

The police in Delta state are seeking assistance from the public in locating the family members of a yet-to-be-identified man who was crushed to death in a motor accident in Asaba, the state capital.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, in a statement on Thursday, May 18, 2023, said that a Mercedes Benz with Reg. No. ABUJA RSH 159 CQ, knocked down the man while he was crossing the Benin-Asaba expressway.

“The photograph on your screen is that of a deceased whose name and address are unknown, is about 30yrs old. He was involved in an accident along Benin/Asaba expressway by NNPC Filing Station, opposite former Deputy Asaba, involving one M/Benz 550 with Reg. No. ABUJA RSH 159 CQ,” the statement read.

“The vehicle  knocked down the man while crossing the road and corpse has been deposited at Maduemezia Memorial Hospital Mortuary Asaba. Any person(s) who knows the victim, his parents, friends or other relatives should report at State Traffic Office, Asaba, Maduemezia Memorial Hospital Mortuary Asaba, or Police Public Relations office, Police Headquarters Asaba for possible identification and collection of corpse.”
