It has been a tough week for PSG, who suspended their superstar Lionel Messi for two weeks after an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia after a home defeat to Lorient on Sunday.
Supporters were filmed on Wednesday chanting for the PSG board to resign outside club headquarters before additional clips showed a group of fans visiting the home of Neymar and calling for him to move on.
The disgruntled supporters chanted ‘Neymar get lost’, and their presence outside his home was confirmed by the Brazilian, who has been out of action since February due to injury.
After the fans had finally left the vicinity of his property, Neymar wrote on Twitter, “They have just left my door”, and added a crying emoji.
Reacting to the development, PSG, in a statement, branded the action of the fans as shameful behaviour.
“Paris Saint-Germain most strongly condemns the intolerable and insulting actions of a small group of individuals that took place on Wednesday,” a club statement read.
“Whatever the differences of opinion, nothing justifies such actions.
“The club gives its full support to its players, its staff and all those targeted by such shameful behaviour.”
