EFCC Arrests Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Abuja, Impound Their Cars

Items recovered from them include one Mercedes Benz car; two Lexus RX350 and Toyota Camry.

Six suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as 'Yahoo boys' have been rounded up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Abuja.

A statement released by the agency says while acting on credible intelligence, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, April 18, 2023   in an early morning sting operation at Jahi and Dawaki axes of the FCT.

The commission gave the names of the suspects as Emmanuel Ndubuisi, Solomon Tochukwu, Okotie Kingsley, Benedict Akor, Samuel Anosike and Samson Iffy.

Items recovered from them include one Mercedes Benz car; two Lexus RX350 and Toyota Camry. Others include laptops, mobile phones, one international passport and an expensive wrist watch.

The Commission says the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
