Kaduna: Bandits Kill Chief Imam’s Senior Wife After 2 Million Naira Ransom

Mrs. Hulaira Hussaini Ardo, was shot dead after the bandits collected 2 million Naira as ransom.

 

Some bandits have struck hard in Kaduna State, killing an Imam's wife.

The bandits shot dead the senior wife of the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu.

Mrs. Hulaira Hussaini Ardo, was shot dead after the bandits collected 2 million Naira as ransom.

DAILY POST recalls that bandits had on February 11, 2023, Kidnapped four wives of Malam Husaaini Ardo, at Rugan Ardo in Kagarko LGA, and killed the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu.

The Madaki of Janjala, Samaila Babangida, confirmed the killing, and said the community was mourning the killing of their chief’s wife, adding that the bandits refused to release her corpse.

According to him, the ransom of 2 million Naira was paid for the release of the four wives, but the senior wife was shot by the bandits, while the remaining three were released

He said it was after the ransom was taken to the bandits with the assurance to set free the four wives of the chief that the leader of the bandits shot and killed the senior wife and set free the remaining three.

“I boarded one of the motorcycles that took the money and foodstuff to them. It was after they collected the money that their leader opened fire on the senior wife,” he said.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige did not respond to calls and a text message sent to him.
