An internet fraudster, Lucky Victor Chinonso has been convicted by a court in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Justice A. T. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State convicted and sentenced Chinonso who is also a student, to one year imprisonment for impersonation contrary to Section 22(2) (b) (i) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015.
He was jailed on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, after pleading "guilty" to the two count charge preferred against him by the Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
