Emma Powerful, the Spokesman of IPOB, issued the directive in response to the disbandment of the Ebubeagu outfit by the Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has vowed to hunt down members of the disbanded Southeast Security Network popularly called Ebubeagu.
IPOB said it will use its Eastern Security Network, ESN, to hunt down operatives of the Ebubeagu.
IPOB issued the directive while noting that the days of Ebubeagu men are numbered in the Southeast.
Emma Powerful, the Spokesman of IPOB, issued the directive in response to the disbandment of the Ebubeagu outfit by the Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The disbandment followed human rights abuses, extortions, illegal arrests and use of firearms perpetuated by the security outfit.
Reacting to the ruling, Powerful described Ebubeagu as political thugs that have committed many atrocities and genocides against Imo and Ebonyi indigenes and all Biafrans in general.
A statement by Powerful reads partly: “We are mandating ESN Operatives to hunt down anybody known as Ebubeagu militia members anywhere in the East. We cannot allow these criminals to flourish in the peaceful region of the Southeast.
“We are now out for Ebubeagu militia and their days are numbered in our land. ESN Operatives will dislodge them. We have discovered that they are the people doing the job of unknown gunmen to blackmail IPOB and ESN Operatives as well.
“Those who claim to be the next line of leaders in Biafra Land but are involved in the numerous death of youths in the land should know that the same youths will unleash vengeance on them soon someday.”
