Nigerians angry with the federal government's cashless policy have protested in Benin Edo state over scarcity of new naira notes on Wednesday.
The sad incident reportedly left at least three persons dead.
The protesters attempted to break into the State branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) located along Akpakpava Street, a commercial nerve center in Benin City, where most commercial banks are also located. Thereafter, they attacked some commercial banks located in the area.
