Suspect Arrested In Connection With Attack On Adamawa First Lady's Convoy

The suspect was arrested in his hideout situated at a remote site of Muchalla Village, Mubi North LGA.


A 24-year-old man fingered in the attack on the convoy of the Adamawa state First Lady, Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been arrested by the police.

The attack, said to be politically motivated, occurred in Muchalla, in Mubi Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, February 4.
 
Spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the suspect was arrested on the 5th February, 2023.
 
He said that the suspect, Lot Bitrus, a resident of Muchalla Ward was arrested in his hideout situated at a remote site of Muchalla Village, Mubi North LGA.
 
The PPRO said Bitrus is now in custody being investigated, adding that Commissioner of Police, SK Akande, has directed that the suspect be investigated discreetly with a view to gather both human and material evidences for prosecution.
 
He called on the general public to report any suspicious character around them to the nearest police station or call 08089671313, 08130013347.
