BREAKING: IGP Meets CPs, Others Over Election Security

The security meeting, ongoing at the Force Headquarters, is being attended by CPs, Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, and other top-ranked police officers.

 

Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has set a meeting with security chiefs.

He is currently meeting with Commissioners of Police and heads of police formations, in Abuja, to strategise on the forthcoming 2023 general elections, and the security situation in the country.

The security meeting, ongoing at the Force Headquarters, is being attended by CPs, Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, and other top-ranked police officers.

The PUNCH reports that the major focus of the meeting is election security towards the 2023 general elections, and an improvement on the security architecture of the country, to checkmate criminals and nip criminal activities in the bud.
