A member of staff of the Federal College of Animal Heath, Moore plantation, in Ibadan, Mrs. Adeola Oyenike has been shot dead by gunmen while returning from her store at the popular Alesinloye market in Ibadan South-West local government area of the state.
The middle-aged woman was trailed by the gunmen to the point where she was waylaid and shot severally.
She died on the spot while the assailants escaped with her phones, leaving other valuables intact in the car.
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident and said that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
