Six Dead, Five Injured In Bauchi Road Accident – FRSC

The accident involved a Toyota commercial bus and a blue Mercedes Benz commercial articulated trailer, occupied by 12 male adults.

A tragic accident claimed the lives of six persons while five others sustained varying injuries at Rama village, 12 kilometres away from the base of the FRSC on the Darazo -Bauchi Road.

Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Bauchi State, Mohammed Biu, said the accident occurred on Saturday, 10th December 2022 at about 8:14 pm, adding that it was reported to the FRSC operatives in Darazo around 8:19 pm.

He said the command mobilised officers to the scene in less than five minutes, adding that both the dead and injured were evacuated around 8:26 pm.

According to him, the accident involved two vehicles, an ash-colour Toyota commercial bus with registration number DRZ 356ZD and a blue Mercedes Benz commercial articulated trailer with no registration number, occupied by 12 male adults.

He blamed the drivers for speeding adding that six were killed while five others sustained different degrees of injuries.
