Court Sacks Senator Bwacha For Defecting To APC

PDP in Taraba State had approached the court to declare the lawmaker’s seat vacant for dumping the party on which he was elected.

 
The Senator representing Taraba South senatorial district has been sacked.
 
Senator Emmanuel Bwacha was sacked by the Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
 
PDP in Taraba State had approached the court to declare the lawmaker’s seat vacant for dumping the party on which he was elected.
 
The presiding Judge, Justice Simon Amobeda in his ruling ordered Bwacha to immediately vacate his seat.
 
Senator Bwacha who is also the Senate deputy minority leader had defected to APC on February 3, 2022.
 
Bwacha was formally received into the ruling APC by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.
 
The Taraba federal lawmaker was led to the Presidential Villa by the chairman of the ruling party’s interim committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni.
