N2m Worth Of Adulterated Foodstuff Burnt In Jigawa – Consumer Protection Committee

According to him, the committee is working with the mobile court presided over by Justice Mannir Sarki to prosecute the perpetrators.

 

The Jigawa State Consumer Protection Committee has made a new revelation.

The committee said it has burnt adulterated foodstuff worth two million naira in Babura and Gumel local government areas of the state.

The chairman of the committee, Alhaji Farouk Abdallah Malammadori said the items, including bags of sesame, hibiscus, beans and millets, were seized during the committee’s raid at Gumel and Babura markets.

According to him, the committee is working with the mobile court presided over by Justice Mannir Sarki to prosecute the perpetrators.

He further reiterated that the committee will not hesitate to punish anybody found guilty of adulterating food items.
