Court Dismisses Lawsuit Against Rivers PDP Governorship Candidate

Justice Adamu T. Mohammed struck out the lawsuit on grounds of incompetence and lack of jurisdiction.

A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has dismissed a suit seeking to disqualify Siminalaye Fubara, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  from contesting the 2023 elections.

The lawsuit was filed by an aspirant of the PDP, Chief Morgan West. He had alleged that Fubara was not a member of the party and did not have a valid PDP membership card, among other issues.

Ruling on the case on Friday, November 4,  Justice Adamu T. Mohammed struck out the lawsuit on grounds of incompetence and lack of jurisdiction.
