Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has stated that he is open for constructive criticism.

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has said he's open to criticism as far as it is constructive.

This happened after two of Obi's popular supporters on Twitter engaged in a social media fight over questions thrown at the presidential candidate.

Aisha Yesufu and David Hundeyin dragged each other on Twitter over the weekend after Yesufu had seconded Rinu Oduala's question on what Obi will do about police brutality.

Hundeyin wondered why Yesufu should be asking such a question when Obi had on numerious ocassions talked about the ways he will tackle the issue.

As the duo warred, Obi entered the mix to settle the issue.

He took to Facebook and Twitter and wrote:

I have noticed that some who have questioned or constructively criticised my actions or pronouncements are also being criticised for speaking up. The new Nigeria we seek, is one in which citizens can criticise and hold leaders accountable.

I welcome such constructive criticisms; it will make our leadership better, adaptive and responsive. When @AishaYesufu and @firstladyship criticises me publicly, I know they both mean well for me and for Nigeria. I know I have them in my corner. Salute!
