Troops Arrest Hoodlums Who Planned To Disrupt Independence Day Celebrations

Defence media operations director, Musa Danmadami said on Thursday October 6, that the suspects were arrested following intelligence gathered by the military.

The Nigerian troops have arrested sixty-four suspects allegedly planning to disrupt Independence Day celebrations in Abuja.

Nine locally made guns were recovered from the suspects who were dressed in “black attire.”

He said;

“All apprehended criminals were handed over to the Nigeria Police federal capital command for further action.”


Troops also arrested 33 suspected illegal miners at an illegal mining site at Gwagwalada area council of the FCT, and are currently detaining 5 suspected drug dealers who were apprehended at their hideout in Koroduma-Asokoro Guzape.
