The meeting between the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, Governors and National Working Committee members over the composition of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the party has ended in a deadlock.

The list of members of the PCC which was earlier released had seen members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party and some Governors threaten to withdraw from the APC campaign council.

There had been claims that the meeting between the APC Governors and NWC ended in deadlock.

Adamu while addressing newsmen after the meeting said the party will determine when the APC campaign will commence.

This is coming after speculations that the APC will commence its campaign on the 10th of October, with high expectations that the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu would be back in the country.

Adamu, who has been aggrieved by the composition of the PCC list while addressing newsmen, said, “Don’t be faster than your shadow. The fact of the matter is, we as a party, as APC, will determine when we will do what as long as it is within the framework of INEC’s guidelines.”

Speaking on the reason behind the meeting which was held at the APC National Secretariat, Adamu said the meeting was called to strategise and discuss the campaign.

He added, “The chairman briefed us about the party, and we appreciate how well our party has been doing in the polity.”
