Gunmen have assassinated two Igbo businessman in Kano.
Ifeanyi Elechukwu and Chibuike Emmanuel were shot dead in Sabongari area of Kano.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the incident occurred on Saturday around 8:45pm at Azubros Plaza, off France Road, Sabongari Kano.
Witnesses said the gunmen stormed the area, fired at their target and zoomed off in a vehicle.
“It is clear they came to kill Mr Ifeanyi. He is a big battery dealer in Sabongari,” said a witness.
It was gathered that Mr Elechukwu, 47, died at the spot, while Mr Emmanuel, 33, died at the hospital.
Spokesman for Kano Police Command Abdullahi Kiyawa confirmed the incident to DAILY NIGERIAN, saying investigations had been launched by the police to track down the killers.
