Some aggrieved workers of the ruling party wondered how APC spent the money generated from the sales of forms during primaries.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been accused of owing workers at its National Secretariat.

According to DailyTurst, some staff lamented that their welfare is not guaranteed under the leadership of the party chairman, Abdullahi Adamu as they are being owed salaries.

Some aggrieved workers of the ruling party wondered how APC spent the money generated from the sales of forms during primaries.

Recall that the party pegged its presidential forms at N100m, governorship, N50m, senatorial, N20m, N10m for House of Representatives and N2m for state house of assembly aspirants.

One of the workers in the National Secretariat of the APC who spoke with Daily Trust said they had nothing to take home during Eid-el Fitri.

He said, “Rather, the leadership of the secretariat wrote to governors to make provisions for the Sallah package.

“Consequently, the governors gave it a deaf ear pointing to billions generated from the sale of forms. That is the situation.”

Another staff who spoke on the financial crisis in the ruling party said, he has been working in the National Secretariat since the merger of the party.

He noted that over the years, they get paid no later than the 25th of every month, adding that they get a Sallah bonus also.

According to the worker, they enjoyed all these benefits when Adams Oshiomhole was the National Chairman of the party.

He added that the caretaker committee of the party led by Mai Mala Buni also took care of them as they get paid sometimes on the 23rd of the month.

The worker, however, stated that things are different under the leadership of Adamu.

He said, “Now our August salary is pending. Do you know the danger? Schools have reopened; we have to pay school fees. The cost of feeding is high. No August salary yet. September will soon end. This is not fair.”
