Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate has revealed why he traveled to Europe.
According to the politician, he traveled to Europe on Friday afternoon on a business mission.
Atiku’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, debunking claims that the former vice president was travelling on health grounds.
He said Atiku’s journey abroad begins immediately after his meeting on Friday in Lagos, with the leadership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.
The statement read, “Today’s trip is in continuation of an earlier business trip of 3 weeks ago.
“At the conclusion of his European trip, the former Vice President will also use the opportunity to visit his family in Dubai.
“His trip is for business and family purposes and has nothing to do with medicals as being insinuated in some quarters.”
On Wednesday, the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, announced a fortnight vacation in Europe handing the mantle of leadership in acting capacity to the National Vice Chairman North, Iliyasu Damagum.
