Nigerian-Born Forward Balogun Named Ligue 1 Young Player Of The Month

The Nigerian-born forward joined Ligue 1 club, Reims from Arsenal on a season-long loan deal this summer.

 

Nigerian-born footballer, Folarin Balogun has been named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month for August, reports have shown.

The forward joined Ligue 1 club, Reims from Arsenal on a season-long loan deal this summer.

The 21-year-old has scored five goals and provided one assist in six league appearances for Reims.

Balogun is currently the joint-third top scorer in the French League.

Reims manager, Oscar Garcia hailed the player for his impressive displays since his arrival at the club.

“There was a question about his ability to adapt quickly to the team,” Garcia told the league’s official website.

“His integration was very fast and very easy. He is very happy to be here; he talks a lot, and he smiles.”
