Nigerian University Lecturer Dies In Auto Crash Just Hours After Invigilation In Kwara

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday, a few hours after the deceased finished invigilation in the university’s ongoing 2nd-semester examination.

 

Idris Oladimeji Yahyah, a lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Kwara State University, Malete, has died.

He lost his life in an accident along Jebba road on his way to Ilorin, Daily Trust reports.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday, a few hours after the deceased finished invigilation in the university’s ongoing 2nd semester examination.

Students and colleagues have expressed shock over his untimely death which went viral on social media on Friday.

The Director University Relations of KWASU, Mrs Saeedat Aliyu, confirmed the incident, adding that an official statement would be released soon.

The late lecturer, a native of Adifa community in Ilorin, is survived by his father, wife and little daughter.
