Arabambi added that the presidential ambition of the Labour Party (LP) candidate has awoken a fresh interest of Nigerians in the electoral process, particularly the youths of the country.
Abayomi Arabambi has stated that 50 per cent of new voters who collected their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2023 presidential election did that because of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party.
Arabambi is the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party.
According to him, more than 50% of the new voters registered are those who believe in Peter Obi.
Arabambi added that the presidential ambition of the Labour Party (LP) candidate has awoken a fresh interest of Nigerians in the electoral process, particularly the youths of the country.
He made the submission in a recent interview on Arise TV as monitored by Naija News.
According to him, “in the last election, half of the registered voters were docile. Today, we have 12 million registered voters, of which about 8 million of them are youths.
“I am telling you we have over 10 million that registered because of the new order in Nigeria. Everything pointed to the Obidient group, to which I am one of them.
“As we speak, all of us in Nigeria have been kidnapped. And the ticket that can free us from the captivity is the Peter Obi/Datti Baba-Ahmed mandate.”
Recall that figures provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have it that 12.2 million Nigerians newly registered to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).
More than 70% of them are youths.
