Headies Disqualifies Popular Singer, Portable From Awards

The ZaZoo Zehh singer was nominated in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories respectively.

 

Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola who is also known as Portable has been disqualified from the list of Headies Awards nominees.

He was disqualified by the organizers of the Headies Awards.

The ZaZoo Zehh singer was nominated in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories respectively.

A statement by the organisers on Tuesday said Portable was disqualified from the forthcoming 15th Headies Award due to his unruly attitude.

Part of the statement reads: “We regret to announce that the following indictment statements made by Mr Habib Okikiola popularly known as Portable and incessant negative attention that Mr Okikiola has garnered from the Nigeria Police and the general public in recent times, the organisers of the Headies have resolved to disqualify Mr Okikiola as a nominee at the forthcoming 15th Headies Award.”
