The loved ones of PC Yahuza Sulaiman, one of the five mobile policemen killed by terrorists in Katsina State have taken to Facebook to mourn his demise.
TORI reported that the bandits invaded Gatakawa community in Kankara Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday, July 20, killed the officers and three civilians.
A colleague, Othman Haruna Abba, described the slain officer as funny, caring, kind and dedicated to his duty.
He also urged Nigerians to support security operatives instead of undermining their efforts.
"IS NIGERIA WORTH DYING FOR?" he wrote.
"The above interrobang is always answered with a capital NO because people see Nigeria as the messiest country, therefore it is not worthy enough to die for. However, amidst this travailed situation, some highly unique folk (security operatives) answer the aforementioned interrobang with a capital YES, thereby sacrificing their unseconded lives to spare the others' ones.
"The person arrowed #RIP in the picture attached is a colleague of mine whom we were basically equipped in the same training ground (Police College Kaduna) namely, PC Yahuza Sulaiman; he is a young and vigorous policeman with full of dreams to accomplish like any other youth, but instead, he has chosen to die so that others might live.
"Yahuza was among the five mobile policemen who had paid a supreme price in the recent ambush attack by heavily-armed bandits at Gatakawa village in Kankara L.G.A of Katsina State. Prior to the incident, Yahuza was quite funny, caring and kind among colleagues and committed as well as dedicated to his duty he had taken an oath to discharge. May Allah (SWT) have mercy upon you, friend. Good Night!
"I'm eventaulising by capturing the attention of my dear civilians to be well aware that our resilent and stoic security operatives are obviously exhibiting their utmost efforts in fighting against this uncontrollable monsters thereby, needing your regular prayers, supports, appreciations and commends. But, we really find it bitter being undermined and underrated by you."
