No Police Officer Has The Right To Ask A Citizen To Open His Phone For Checks - Police Spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi

Adejobi made the clarification after being asked a question by a Twitter user.

 
The Nigerain police has said no officer has the right to ask citizens to open his or her phone for checks.
 
Spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed this on Twitter.
 
He said that any officer who insists on checking a citizen's phone is not an officer but a scavenger.
 
Adejobi in a tweet shared on his handle said except a phone is an exhibit for investigation, no officer has the right to ask a citizen to open his phone for checks.
