President Buhari was quoted on Monday to have said the presidency has been tough and he is eager to go.

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has been mocked by former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani.

Sani made a jest of Buhari over his recent statement that he is eager to complete his tenure and leave office.

The President had made the comment on Monday saying being President has been tough and he is eager to go.

He made his mind known on Monday in Daura, Katsina State, when he received some Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), legislators and political leaders at his residence.

In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari advised some indigenes in the South-South to stop hurting national assets, which also affect their livelihood.

“I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough. I am grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices we have been making,” he added.

Reacting to the statement, Sani took to his Twitter account on Tuesday morning insinuating that Buhari expected to perform magic in office but now that reality has dawned, he is eager to go.

He wrote: “Buhari was eager to be president and now eager to leave the presidency; He came in to perform magic and now running away from juju.”
