President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the on Kuje prison by terrorists who freed inmates.
Terrorists stormed the prison facility at about 10pm on Tuesday, July 6 and engaged the security agents in a gun battle. 600 inmates including Boko Haram terrorists were released during the attack.
The President led a team of government officials to the prison this afternoon to assess the level of destruction.
In a tweet posted on his handle, the President wondered how the attackers got away with the crime. He said he is expecting a comprehensive report on the incident.
''Saddened by the attack on the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje. I am disappointed with the intelligence system. How can terrorists organize, have weapons, attack a security installation and get away with it? I am expecting a comprehensive report on this shocking incident.''
