Some gunmen who are yet to be identified have reportedly issued a quit notice to residents of Sabon Zama, Gindin Dutse, Anguwan Tsohon Soldier, Anguwan Yuhana and Anguwan Mangu villages in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
DAILY POST gathered from residents that masked gunmen stormed the communities and asked them to either leave within five days or risk a war.
A resident of Pinau, who gave his name as Ubale, while speaking to DAILY POST, said the gunmen threatened to attack the area and advised them to vacate or face the consequences.
“As I speak, many people have started trooping to Pinau and other bigger towns for safety”, he decried.
However, the Spokesman of the Military Taskforce responsible for the maintenance of peace in the State code-named, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Ishaku Takwa, when contacted, said, “I’m not aware of the quit notice”.
