Suspected bandits, on Thursday, invaded Zurmi town, the administrative centre of Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State leading to the abduction of yet to be identified number of people.
A resident of the community, who pleaded that his name should not be mentioned, confirmed the incident to Daily Post.
He said that the bandits invaded the town at around 10:00 pm and started shooting sporadically, leading to the abduction of many residents of the area.
“Though they didn’t kill anybody, they abducted an unidentified number of people during the operation.
“Just three days ago, they killed one person and rustled cattle,” he said.
