The men who pleaded guilty to a three-count charge of conspiracy, assault and breach of peace brought against them by the police, were convicted and sentenced without an option of fine.
Magistrate Mrs A. O. Adeyemi has handed a three months jail term to two men identified as Lekan Toba and Alayemi Bamidele on Thursday June 9, for punching a woman and causing breach of peace.
21-year-old Toba and 33-year-old Bamidele who pleaded guilty to a three-count charge of conspiracy, assault and breach of peace brought against them by the police, were convicted and sentenced without an option of fine.
It was reported that they and others still at large, committed the offences on May 25 at 9.00 a.m. behind Garage, Sango-Ota.
The prosecutor, Insp E. O. Adaraloye told the court that they conspired and conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by intimidating and assaulting the complainant, Atinuke Agbajeola, with fist blows.
The offences according to the prosecutor, contravenes sections 351, 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006
