Commercial motorcyclists (okada riders) have been warned by the Kano police command to steer clear of the city.
The command reiterated that the ban on commercial motorcycles in the state’s metropolis remains in place.
In a statement issued by the spokesman of the Kano Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, directed all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) within Kano metropolis to continue to enforce the ban.
It added;
“Any individual or group that violates this ban will be arrested and prosecuted before the court of law. Road users are advised to abide by traffic rules and regulations.”
