According to SaharaReporters, the remains of David Imoh, a sound engineer who was burnt to death by a mob, have been buried in Lagos.

On May 12, Imoh was beaten and set ablaze by a mob suspected to be commercial motorcyclists near Beer Barn, a leisure facility in the Lekki axis of Lagos.

This was after he had a misunderstanding with a commercial motorcyclist, popularly called Okada rider over N100.

His death sparked public outrage in the state and across the country as Nigerians called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of his killers.

The police had subsequently arrested five suspects over the lynching of the sound engineer.

Days after the incident, the Lagos state government announced a ban on motorcycle operations in six local government areas. However, tears flowed freely on Friday as his remains were interred at Atan Cemetery in Yaba.

According to a family member, a ceremony of songs was held for the deceased on Thursday, June 2 at the Church of God Mission Intl, Victoria Island Zonal Headquarters, Garden City of God, T. F. Kuboye Street, Oniru, Lagos.
