The proscribed group said it wil no longer allow political parties hold rallies in the South East.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it will no longer allow rallies by the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other political parties in the South East.

The group made this known in a recent statement by its spokesperson Emma Powerful.

According to the group, the reason is because politicians are not bothered about insecurity in the region, but “only care about 2023”.

“We won’t allow APC and other political parties to continue to hold their rallies in our land while Fulani bandits operative with impunity kidnapping and raping our people, yet the politicians do nothing about it. All they care about is 2023. Enough is enough!” IPOB’s statement reads in part.
