The arrested suspects
Six suspects have been arrested as men of the Katsina State Police Command bust a car theft syndicate.

"On 05/05/2022 at about 2330hrs, based on a tip off, Police Patrol Team attached to Malumfashi Division, accosted the duo of one Aminu Musa and Kabiru Sa’idu, both ‘M’, of Ketare village, Kankara LGA of Katsina state, at Dayi, in possession of a Motor vehicle, Honda, Civic, black in colour, with registration number ABC 800 SL, reasonably suspected to be stolen. In the course of investigation, suspects confessed to have stolen the motor vehicle at Kuje Area, Abuja. Investigation is ongoing," the statement read.
"Similarly, on 07/05/2022 at about 1100hrs, the Command succeeded in busting another syndicate of car thieves, who conspired and stole away a motor vehicle, Toyota Camry, 2000 model, green in colour with registration number KTN 918 DK, valued N700,000 belonging to one Idris Muhammed Garba, ‘M’, of Kashe Naira Quarters, Mashi LGA,"
Nemesis caught up with the suspects when they were arrested with the vehicle in Bauchi state.
Gambo gave names of the suspects as; Babangida Danjuma, 30, of Sabuwar Unguwa Quarters, Katsina, Muhammadu Abdurahaman, 25, of Kofar Kaura Quarters, Katsina, Nasiru Lawalm, 19, of Sheka Makaranta Quarters, Kano state, Abdullahi B. Muhamud, 40, of Watin Dada Quarters, Bauchi state and Ibrahim, of Jos, Plateau state (now at large)
In the course of investigation, the vehicle was recovered and the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence.
