Recall that during an interview on Arise News in April, Dokubo had said that Tinubu was the only candidate amongst other 2023 presidential aspirants who has the pedigree to govern the country.

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo has broken his silence following claims that he is in support of  former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu becoming President in 2023.

Recall that during an interview on Arise News in April, Dokubo had said that Tinubu was the only candidate amongst other 2023 presidential aspirants who has the pedigree to govern the country.

The former militant leader said only Tinubu has the right to speak and call on Nigerians to vote for him because of his development strides in Lagos.

He had said; “The only person that can stand up and talk that he has transformed a state, the only person among the former governors and so on, the only person that can come out say, look, I have the pedigree, I have legacies is Bola Tinubu”.

However, during a Facebook Live on Wednesday, Dokubo cleared the air on reports that he was supporting Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadun Buhari.

The former agitator said he only pointed out the good works done by the APC national leader in Lagos, adding that his comment does not make him a supporter of the presidential hopeful.

He said: “I am not supporting Tinubu. My pointing out of the works of Tinubu in Lagos does not make me a supporter of Tinubu.”
